The recent tournaments of the Octagon organization are like cursed. Promoters have to constantly deal with medical excuses, and the main match of the last tournament of the year, which is the duel Peñáz – Cepo, should be cancelled.
The Octagon 30 tournament was supposed to be the best the organization has ever shown the world. Unfortunately, Karlos Vémola didn’t manage to recover and part of the program was cancelled due to the uncertainty about the coronavirus.
After that a new fight was introduced, Patrik Kincl was supposed to face Pirate, but due to restrictions their fight was postponed until February and the tournament was moved from Prague to Brno.
Subsequently, there was unofficial confirmation that Chepo was injured and a replacement for Peñaz was being sought.
This has now been confirmed by a separate organisation and a replacement for Peňáze is being sought, however it is likely that one will not be found.
Now we are just waiting for Oktagon themselves to confirm this information and it is a question of what fight will close the Oktagon 30 tournament.
