Frankfurt is preparing for the OKTAGON 36 tournament. Zdeněk Polívka will face another big challenge at the Festhalle. He has been mentioned in the media in recent weeks in connection with his relationship with the famous actress Lucie Vondráčková. But now the Czech fighter is focusing on his next fight and his career in general.

Second title quest, the Pirate stands in the way

Zdenek Polívka is one of the promising Czech fighters. However, after valuable scalps of Eric Spicely and Robert Bryczek, he failed to make it through the key match. Had he won it, he could have fought for the Octagon middleweight title. But he didn’t. Alex Lohoré beat him in the first round.

It was important to get back on track quickly, and he did. He beat Cheick Koné in two rounds four months later. Now he has another big challenge ahead of him. If he wins, he could claim a title fight again.

But a quality opponent stands in his way – Samuel Kristofich. “He is a complex fighter. Moreover, in preparation I worked on things that work for me, but I won’t reveal them now. You will see them in the fight. I think I have something to surprise him,” Polívka let himself be heard.

He has been preparing for the fight in Poznan, Poland, paired with fighters from the UFC and KSW, and he praises the preparation. We work on simple things that can be applied right away and are functional.”

The Pirate is one of the controversial fighters, but Zdenek Polívka respects him and sees him as a likeable fighter. “I’m not happy to go to the fight with him. On the other hand, there was a lot of interest in our fight and I think it makes the most sense for me at the moment,” admitted the Czech fighter.

If Polívka were to win and fight for the title, he would be facing the winner of the fight between Patrik Kinclo and Karlos Vemol. If the promising fighter had to choose an opponent, it would be Kincl. He met Terminator at the last camp and has more sympathy for him.

However, he does not see Kincl as an easier opponent: “On the contrary! He would be more unpleasant for me. We all know that the Terminator has the ground and when he gets into his position, it’s hard to get out of it. I was able to experience it myself in training. Patrick is more complex and can surprise from absolutely anywhere. He’s strong, technical, he showed a great attitude with Lohore.”
