In February, we will see the tournament in Munich, but Miloš Petrášek will no longer be part of it. He is seriously injured and Oktagon will send Rafael Xavier to fight Pavel Langer instead. What did the popular Melon say about his injury?
In the first half of February, Oktagon closes again in Germany, this time for the first time in Munich. We can look forward to a lot of interesting fights, but Milos Petrasek will not be at the tournament after all.
The reason is a serious injury, which was announced by Oktagon on Tuesday evening. Subsequently, the information about what the injury actually is came to light.
Petrasek tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, so we may not even see him in the cage in 2023. What actually happened on that fateful day?
“On Wednesday, I was sparring with Patrik, he was throwing me, he took me over his leg and it snapped. I felt the knee for a long time, so it wasn’t a movement that should have caused it to pop, it wasn’t Patrik’s fault. It would have snapped another time, the knee was loaded, it had been hurting for some time,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
After all, health problems have accompanied him throughout his career, last year he also had to cancel a match because of a torn muscle. Now, however, it is more serious.
This injury will of course require surgery. However, he will have to wait for some time for that, as it is recommended to persevere with the swelling to heal.
“In six weeks, that annoys me, because I will have to wait six weeks. But it’s necessary, the doctor explained to me that the swelling has to go down before the ligament stretches, then the surgery is better.
Theknee will last longer, so it’s better to wait, but of course I would like to get it over with and go do something, rehabilitate,” he added.
