Petr Kníže has a title fight against David Kozma. But the Czech veteran left defeated and is now wondering what’s next. One of the options is a move to the RFA, which, according to him, offers much higher financial compensation.

When he lost to Karlos Vemola in 2013, he certainly didn’t count on not losing for almost 10 more years. Petr Kníže fell to David Kozma in April this year.

Therefore, the title of the Octagon Welterweight Champion does not belong to him and it is questionable whether he will ever fight for it again.

At the age of 44, he has to plan properly and he doesn’t want to wait over a year for a title fight. “I don’t have that much time to sacrifice. And to go three fights, that’s a year and a half to two years, it’s almost unthinkable for me, I have a family, a gym.

Either they’d have to come up with an interesting offer. Or get to it somehow sooner,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.cz. So the option of another organisation is on the table.

There is only one option on the domestic scene, and that is Real Fight Arena. The new organization has already pulled in some Oktagon fighters and Monster could be next.

When asked if he got an offer from the RFA, he answered clearly. And it was a completely different offer financially. The RFA also has the opportunity to fight for the title, although it doesn’t have a name as an organization yet, but the financial conditions there are completely different,” he added.
