Viktor Peshta won the welterweight title against Stephan Pütz in the fall, but the fight was stopped by the doctor, so talk of a rematch began.
Pešta basically promised his opponent one, and the Oktagon organization announced a rematch a few weeks later, but Pešta said on Instagram that nothing was agreed upon.
In fact, he is currently not under contract in the Octagon for this very reason he did not understand the announcement of the fight. Now he reportedly doesn’t want to rematch, as he is also in talks with other organizations.
There is certainly interest from abroad, however, Peshta is also in talks with the RFA, which will have its first tournament in early spring.
“We have been discussing several things with his management over the last few weeks and I think we have built a very fair and professional relationship, which is very important in this business, ” promoter Boris Marhansky told the Czechoslovak MMA website.
He also added that it would be a great success for RFA to have such a fighter under contract, but he is convinced that we won’t see Peshta on the domestic scene anytime soon.
Thus, it seems that Peshta is heading abroad and the Octagon will lose another champion. Given the statement, we can also expect confirmation in the coming days.
