The Octagon organization is solving another problem. This time with Viktor Peshta, as he objected to having a fight announced despite knowing nothing about it. He has now come out and said how it all went down, but neither side is positive.

A few days ago, the Octagon 31 tournament was announced, which will feature two title fights, one of which is set to be a rematch between Viktor Peshta and Stephan Pütz.

However, shortly after the announcement of the fight, Pesta posted on his Instagram that he didn’t know of any matchup. So where is the truth? He explained the situation during the live broadcast.

“We talked about the O2 Arena and we talked about the date, but nothing was agreed or finalized. It was solved. Nothing was agreed. The second thing is that we dealt with the contract mainly. We were in the middle of dealing with a contract that we still hadn’t finished. There are still a few things that are not finalized.

I’m not even signed with OKTAGON at this point. It’s such a strange and unprofessional treatment. We’re dealing with a contract, there’s things not cleared up and all of a sudden a game is announced. That’s something I’m not going to stand for,” said Pešta on his Instagram.

The problem, according to him, was that it was not the first time this happened. In the past, he said he told promoters not to announce fights when they hadn’t yet agreed on a contract. That is also why he has now gone public with it.

At the press conference after the Oktagon 29 tournament, Ondrej Novotny also commented on it, saying that he did everything the way he should have and he was touched by it. However, the words of both parties certainly don’t mean we won’t see the fight.
