Peňáz refused to box with Čep in front of a sold-out O2 arena. But of course he justified his move

Matěj Peňáz is currently one of the biggest stars of the Octagon. Fans are especially looking forward to seeing him fight Vlast Čep. It could happen in a few days in the O2 arena, but the Moravian fighter refused. Why?
One of the most anticipated fights on the domestic scene was imminent. But it still hasn’t happened and won’t happen for a while. Yet we could already see it at the last Oktagon tournament of the year.
Matej Peňáz and Vlasto Čepo have been heading towards a fight for some time now. The fans are looking forward to it, the organization is looking forward to it, everybody is looking forward to it.
That’s why it was offered to save the tournament in the O2 arena, where the main match was cancelled and Jonas Magard will not be present.
Patrik Kincl and Karlos Vémola were supposed to face each other in the main event, but as everybody already knows, due to Terminator’s injury, it couldn’t take place. And why did the rescue in the form of a fight between Peñaz and Cep not work out? That was explained by the Moravian fighter.
The promoter Ondrej Novotny came up with the idea that the fight could happen after Vémola got injured. “It’s just that Čepo has an injured knee. So Ondra suggested that we could have a boxing match,” Peñáz was heard on the On Surveillance series.
“I’m preparing for a career in MMA, so why would I go fight in boxing? I’m preparing for MMA, I’m building a career in MMA, I can take the next step in my career. It’s better for me to go MMA fighting,” he’s clear.
In MMA, he has to rebound from the first defeat he suffered in a UFC contract fight. Now he’ll be opposed by a man who, by the way, beat Chepa. If he wins, his next fight is expected to be with the Slovakian fighter.
