Peñaz on Chepa: I don’t plan to adapt and I won’t change our plans based on Instagram post
When will the fight between Matej Peňáze and Vlast Čep take place? This is a question that nobody knows the answer to now. Peňáz has now expressed that he is not really afraid of his possible opponent, but he does not want to change his plans because of him. So he gave him terms for next year.
When will the fight between Matej Peňáze and Vlast Čep take place? This is a question that nobody knows the answer to now. Peňáz has now expressed that he is not really afraid of his possible opponent, but he does not want to change his plans because of him. So he gave him terms for next year.
When it was announced that Matěj Peňáz will appear at the December Oktagon tournament in Ostrava, speculations immediately started that his opponent will be Vlasto Čepo.
The latter immediately started to apply for the fight with Peňáz and even through the media challenged him. While Čepo will fight at the tournament, Peňáz will not.
He will appear at the end of the year in the O2 Arena, where he will have another opponent. Čepo didn’t like that too much and took on Peňáz. But he has now rushed to answer.
“A few facts to all the speculation and talk. I will fight on 30.12.2022 and the opponent has been discussed for quite some time. The talk about me being afraid to fight Vlasta is useless. The last fight we were supposed to have together was cancelled by him through injury.
I didn’t comment on it, I took it as an athlete that it can happen. I currently have OKTAGON 6::0 and Vlasta 2::1 in my organization. I knocked out the opponent who beat him in the first round.
If he wants to fight me that bad, the offer is for March, April or May! I don’t plan on matching and I’m not going to change our plans based on an Instagram post. That’s it,” he said on his Instagram.
The dates make sense and it’s possible the two will eventually come to an agreement with the organization. Still, there is a lot of time left before those deadlines and things can change.
