During the OKTAGON 27 tournament, Ondřej Novotný revealed several news concerning the upcoming tournaments. What has his organization prepared for its fans?
Even before promoter Ondrej Novotny revealed some news to the fans, at least one thing was more or less solved in the cage itself. Filip Macek was going to fight for the bantamweight title, but he had no opponent.
Very likely, Jonas Magard, who gave a sympathetic performance right at OKTAGON 27 and won over the fans, will become the opponent instead of Farid Basharat.
But after that, the full card for the upcoming OKTAGON 28 tournament, which we will see on September 25, was already presented. The main event will be the welterweight title fight, which has been announced for a while, between Viktor Pest and Stephan Pütz.
But apart from that, the tournament will offer a clash of generations between Peter Knight and Kaiko Brito, and will also feature Leo Brichta, who will measure his strength against Damien Lapilus. Eric Spicely will be challenged by Zdenek Polívka, Andrej Kalashnik will face Christian Jungwirth.
Matěj Peňáz will return to action to fight Mateusz Stzelczyk, Matěj Kuzník will face David Moon in the cage. The battle of great stand-up fighters will be provided by Vladimir Lengál and Luboš Lesák. We can also look forward to Miroslav Brož vs. Emmanuel Dawa and David Hošek vs. Al Matavao.
The names for the OKTAGON Prime 4 tournament, which will be hosted by Enteria Arena in Pardubice on November 6, were also presented. The East Bohemian metropolis will host the title fight of Filip Macek, but besides him Matúš Juráček, Rafael Xavier, Jan Malach, Cornelia Holm and Václav Holota will be presented to the fans.
