OKTAGON 30 should offer a title fight after all! Promoter Ondřej Novotný hinted at this in a recent broadcast of his MMA podcast Letem světem, and an official announcement should be made soon.
The OKTAGON 30 tournament was supposed to be headlined by a title fight between The Pirate and Patrik Kinclo, but that fight was eventually postponed until February.
Matej Peňáz and Vlasto Čepo were supposed to take the main fight, but the latter got injured and the organization is looking for a replacement opponent for the Moravian fighter.
Ondřej Novotný recently revealed that the title fight could be on the tournament after all. One of the participants should be Tereza Bledá. However, it should have been difficult to find an opponent.
But in recent days, Oktagon hinted at it on social media, posting several posts featuring Bleda, with no shortage of questions about whether the young fighter was ready for such a major event.
Then on Thursday morning, the official announcement was made. Bleda’s opponent will be Marbella Lima, currently the 75th ranked flyweight fighter in the world.
It will be a very interesting test for Bleda. Lima has an excellent record of 9-1. Her only loss came in front of the UFC boss, on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, where she fought for a contract in the best organization in the world.
In the bout, Lima fell to Luana Caroline, who already has four fights in the UFC with a record of three wins and one loss.
So there is a lot to look forward to!
