Oktagon has another tournament ahead of us, in Ostrava we will see the real top of the organization. Now the weigh-in is over, which was not without problems. Michal Kotalik traditionally did not weigh in, but the participants of the two title fights left nothing to chance and weighed in accurately.

Oktagon 50 will offer a total of 11 fights. Ostrava will see two title fights, some other fights may also decide other title challengers.

We will also see some big comebacks. Losene Keita will challenge Niko Samsonidse for the vacant featherweight title after an injury. Ivan Buchinger and Ronald Paradeiser will face off for the lightweight belt in a rematch.

Matej Peñaz will go into action after a long-term injury and his quality and form will be tested by the troublesome Ole Magnor. There may be a surprise in the duel Rafael Xavier vs Dan Vinni. Ostrava patriot Jan Široký will face Stefan Catacoli. After a defeat, Máté Kertész will also go into the game.

Oktagon weigh-ins

As usual, Friday morning weigh-ins took place. It went almost without any mistakes, but unfortunately there was one. And if the fans could bet before the tournament, the vast majority of them would have been right.

Michal Kotalik, who has been having problems with it for a long time, didn’t make the weight. Last time he overweighted by almost five kilograms and received criticism from the organization’s management, but he got his last chance and this time he is 0.6 kilograms short of the limit. He currently has two hours to meet the limit.

The first title fight between Ronaldo Paradeiser and Ivan Buchinger went off without a hitch. Buchinger admitted in a follow-up interview that his opponent was huge, but dropping weight understandably tired Paradeiser and he didn’t look his best during the interview.

In the second title fight, Niko Samsonidse had to take off his shorts to make up the missing 100 grams, but that was no problem. Losene Keita went straight to undress and weighed in just as accurately. You could see how relieved he was. We’re not going to lose the title fight.
