The main card of the OKTAGON 32 tournament took three blows. So the promoters of the organization have to start figuring out how to replace the three injured fighters as soon as possible.
Due to injuries Matěj Kuzník, Stephan Pütz and Ondřej Raška will not take part in the Ostrava gala.
Kuznik was supposed to fight Iamik Furtado, Pütz was to be tested by Polish veteran Michal Pasternak, Raška was expected to fight Al Matava.
The absence of Kuznik will probably bother him the most, as he comes from Ostrava and could have presented himself on home soil. However, one can expect that a new opponent should be found for Furtado.
Pütz now has to get his act together in order to make the OKTAGON 33 tournament, which will be hosted by Frankfurt, Germany in June. He will face Martin Zawada at the organization’s first gala outside of Czechoslovakia.
In his podcast MMA Flight Around the World, Ondřej Novotný revealed that German fighter Christian Jungwirth, who has won many fans in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, could appear at the tournament due to absences.
Jungwirth fought on Saturday at the OKTAGON Prime 5 tournament, where he defeated the local Robert Pukac.
