Octagon title? I’m disgusted! My dream is to fight in RCC, says Leo Brichta

Leo Brichta is one of the rising stars of MMA and also a big draw of the Oktagon organization where he is active. His dream, however, is to fight in another organization, the Russian RCC. Why?
Leo Brichta is a big favourite of Czech MMA fans. He puts on excellent performances in the Octagon and when you add his personality to that, you have the whole package.
Now he got the opportunity to be interviewed by Kaocko, but he wasn’t so positive. In fact, he is disappointed that his next opponent will be a foreigner.
“I want to fight against Czechs. I think people are not so interested in fights with foreign opponents anymore. Especially when we have enough of our own guys here who have quality. I really don’t know why others can fight each other, only I can’t. I don’t understand,” Brichta said.
He is currently a top four lightweight and many want him to fight for the title. But that’s not Brichta’s goal and he doesn’t care much for the Octagon organization’s belt.
“I’m so sick of the title that… I don’t know how to say it. Maybe I don’t even have any motivation to win it anymore. It’s definitely not the main reason I’m doing this sport anymore,” he added, while saying it’s not because he thinks he should have gotten a title fight already.
His current goal is to move to the Russian RCC, where he would like to fight. Why? “I like the way the actual fights and everything around it looks. I would give anything to fight there.
If I had to choose, I would choose the RCC. And that’s nothing against the Octagon. I just think I’d get a lot more money in Russia than here. And I want to do MMA for a living, I can’t do anything else,” he finished.
