Octagon has released the interim status of the Lucky Loser vote. How are the losers doing in their second chance at Tipsport Gamechanger?
There are only three days left until the end of voting for the so-called Lucky Loser. Oktagon MMA has released the current number of votes of those who lost in the first round of Tipsport Gamechanger. Who will be back in the tournament?
Thus, we got the first eight quarterfinalists, who drew the order in which they will choose their opponents. This gave us some great quarterfinal pairings that will battle it out to advance to the pyramid semifinals.
Oktagon also posted a poll for the so-called Lucky Loser
The two winners will then get the chance to fight for their next shot at the tournament. The two will then fight in reserve bouts and if, for example, someone gets injured, they will jump back into the pyramid.
Oktagon’s Instagram account posted the interim results of the voting shortly after noon today. Samuel ‘Pirate’ Kristofich is leading the way with over 25 percent of the votes so far. He fell short in what was probably the best fight of the first round to Alex Lohoré, losing on points after a three-round battle.
Behind him is the Moldovan ‘Dracula’ Ion Surdu, who had an incredible fight with Bojan Velickovic. Especially the so-called ‘double knockout’ lifted all the spectators from their seats. But Velickovic recovered quickly and forced his Moldovan opponent to tap out.
You can see the other fighters in the graphic below, so if you’re rooting for any of those not in the first two names, vote. Voting, which has reportedly already attracted more than 50,000 voters, closes on Sunday, March 12.
