Octagon has announced the winner of the Lucky Loser system! Krištofič and Surdu will get a chance in Tipsport Gamechanger reserve matches
Tipsport Gamechanger was a great success in Ostrava and the fans already know the eight who will face off in the quarterfinals. However, every tournament needs substitutes and in the Lucky Loser system, Samuel Krištofič and Ion Surdu got a “second chance”.
Fans picked two fighters, with the organization selecting the other two, and then completing the foursome that will fight in Prague and Oberhausen to win that tournament.
Now we know the winners, the fans voted with almost 17,000 votes for Samuel Kristofich, who fell to Alex Lohore in an interesting battle, as well as Ion Surdu, who fell after a double KO to Bojan Velickovic in the first round.
The fans wanted to see both of them for the second time, with Polish Lukasz Siwiec behind the line by two thousand votes, while Apollo Silva, Radovan Uscrt or Maté Kertész were not even in the mix.
A month later, Velickovic and Christian Jungwirth and Marcel Grabinski and Andreas Michailidis will then show up in Oberhausen.
The reserve matches have not been announced yet, so it is currently only certain that we will see one at each tournament and the participants will be Pirate and Surdue. There is also speculation about Christian Eckerlin.
