Novotny: The time has come when we need to stop questioning the Octagon. We want to be a big international shark

The biggest Czechoslovak organization has the biggest tournament in its history and in the history of the domestic MMA scene. Prague’s O2 arena hosted a spectacular show, after which promoter Ondřej Novotný delivered his message.

The biggest, the most expensive, the most important. These are the most common adjectives used to describe Saturday’s OKTAGON 43 tournament, which took place in Prague’s packed O2 arena.

Patrik Kincl outplayed Karlos Vémola, David Kozma defeated Alex Lohoré, Louis Glismann delivered a fantastic submission that we won’t see again. There was a lot to see. In short, the Octagon has once again lived up to its ambitions.

Despite how much overlap and reach the organization has already had, we still hear nonsensical criticism or pointless questioning of how it is actually doing. And now is supposedly the time to put an end to this.

“This was the night when it was time to stop questioning it. The Octagon is definitely one of the most popular things in Czechoslovakia in show business and in sports. I want us to be proud of it together,” Ondřej Novotný let his voice be heard at the press conference.

The promoter and one of the founders of Oktagon later pointed out that this is not only a credit to him and Pavol Neruda, but to the entire Oktagon team, the fans and, in short, everyone who supports the organization.

“We should be ku**a proud to have something like this here, not to keep comparing it to other sh**as and questioning it. We are proud of all the fighters we work with in England, Germany, Denmark etc,” Novotny said.

The main face of the organization believes that we should enjoy something like this together and also admitted that Oktagon simply wants to be a “big international shark”, which he wants to inspire domestic companies, among other things.
