Novotny on KSW: They do different things than what we said, so of course I have to react to that
Relations between the two best organisations in Europe are not heated, but they are certainly not friendly. The Polish organisation visited the Czech Republic for the first time this year, which promoter Ondřej Novotný did not like. How is it with KSW now?

The Oktagon has been growing steadily, establishing itself in Germany and heading to Ireland after England. He is also planning other countries, but Poland is not among them, while many fighters from this country are and especially were active in his stable.
“We will not go to Poland 99% of the time, it doesn’t make sense to us,” Novotny said almost a year ago. The reason? The country is ruled by KSW, which is loved by the people there, and there is definitely more potential in other countries.
But KSW hasn’t made a similar move and it showed in the Czech Republic. It started with a tournament in Liberec and then it showed up in Trinec. It wasn’t that far to both cities for the Polish spectators.
But of course Novotny didn’t like that, because he had some serious competition in his hen house. How does he currently view KSW and what bothers him about the people in it?
“I sat down with Martin Lewandowski (KSW promoter), who I admire and look up to as a role model for what he and his colleagues have done, at the end of last year and we talked about something.
I stuck to it and did as we said. I don’t really care that they’re doing tournaments in the Czech Republic. At the end of the day, it’s none of my business. But it’s my business if we say something and then it’s not. They do different things than what we said, so of course I have to respond to that.
Otherwise, the market is open to everyone. I don’t really want to talk about their actions, because as I say, I admire what they’ve done and what they’re doing, but if we’re going to compete with each other, we’re going to compete with each other. It’s fine,” Novotny told Polish Fighters Info.
