Clash of the stars has caused a stir with the announcement of the Free politician’s fight
The recently formed organization Clash of the stars (COTS), founded by MMA fighter Tomas Le Sy, has a rather controversial reputation in the martial arts world. The reason is obvious, while other organizations focus on fights of professional fighters, COTS went about it in a different way.
While the fights of amateurs such as internet stars or porn actresses are derided in professional circles, they are sure to find their fans. Most recently, the organization caused a stir by announcing a truly bizarre news story.
The organisation recently released a video in which the owner of the organisation, Tomáš Le Sy, is negotiating the terms of a fight with politician Lubomír Volný. There is still speculation about his opponent. However, the media are saying that it could be Pavel Novotný, with whom Volný often clashes.
It’s not my cup of coffee, says Oktagon promoter Novotný
Ondrej Novotny, the promoter of the biggest domestic MMA organization, also had his say on organizing such fights. “I don’t mind mocking people, it’s not my cup of coffee,” he said clearly in his podcast MMA Flight Around the World.
“But it doesn’t mean anything, it’s my opinion, I don’t tell anyone not to watch it,” he said. “Every product has its buyer,” he is aware of the attractiveness of such tournaments for a number of especially younger fans.
Free deserves to get the beet, it’s rubbish!
“Yesterday, I heard that they announced the Free guy, ” he said of the organization’s latest report. “He is such a bastard, for me he doesn’t deserve any attention,” he said of the controversial politician.
“Yes, he deserves to get a good beating, but to make money out of him and promote him would be totally against me,” he added his opinion on the matter. “For me, this man is garbage, the biggest disgusting and I would not be able to shake hands with him, let alone see him,” he added clearly.
