The Oktagon showed up again in Germany, this time heading to Cologne and setting a German record. The organization can be really happy with its entry on German soil. Pavol Neruda did not hide his joy at the press conference about the event.

The Oktagon is settling in Germany. On Saturday he visited Cologne and once again showed that he can put on a good show. It entertains the audience, which has not been used to MMA so far.

Thanks to Oktagon, there is an MMA fever in Germany and there is always a huge demand for tickets when the tournament is announced. After all, on Saturday we witnessed a record on the soil of our neighbor.

In fact, Oktagon broke the attendance record on its soil, drawing over 19 thousand paying spectators to the hall. That’s why he’s going to step even more in Germany next year.

Neruda talks about tournaments in Germany

“Today we saw a historic event, we broke a record on the German MMA scene, we sold 19k tickets. It’s the highest attendance in the history of German MMA, plus we broke the PPV record in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

We also had a record number of celebrities and influencers with us, sharing everything with the rest of the world, so it’s a historic moment and a historic day. I want to thank everyone who was in the hall today, and everyone who watched from London to Bratislava, and everyone who contributed.

We are just starting, we have only set the bar, we want to build the German scene further and further, we are definitely not stopping here and we are looking forward to the next tournaments,” said Pavol Neruda, one of the promoters, at the press conference.

We can also look forward to more tournaments in Germany. At the last event, Oktagon announced Oberhausen in February and Stuttgart in March, where it will have its premiere.

“Right now we have five or six events planned in Germany for next year, we will announce them gradually and we have a really big announcement ahead of us,” he added.
