Neruda and Novotný disagreed on the result of the fight Kincl vs. Vémola. Karlos didn’t want to escape, he got a shock. He couldn’t change his tactics, says one of the Oktagon bosses

An unusual match that will be debated for a long time. Everyone saw it differently. Ondrej Novotny by no means saw Patrik Kincelo winning in five rounds, co-owner Pavol Neruda did. However, it was Neruda who in an interview gave a glimpse into the background of what happened after the fight.

The fight between Karlos Vemola and Patrik Kinc is over, and given how it went, what happened before and after, there is still much to be said and written about it. New information and new perspectives are still emerging.

Now, in an interview with Sport.cz, the co-owner of Oktagon, Pavol Neruda, has offered his, and he doesn’t hide his surprise at how Kincl was able to prepare for the Terminator’s strongest side.

“During the fight, Attila Vegh and I were saying that Karlos lost his main weapon and he doesn’t have another one. He couldn’t change his tactics because he didn’t have another one. He has no other fighting style to switch to. My hat is off to Patrik,” he complimented the champion.

One of the founders of the organization had a different vision of the fight. The fact that the Inspector then allowed himself some parades for the fans also surprised him.

While Ondřej Novotný had already declared at the press conference that in his world Kincl definitely could not win all five rounds, Neruda perceived it in the opposite way: “Every round was similar. Karlos was pushing, but he didn’t get any takedowns that he could turn into an advantage. There were no punches. Ondra and I disagreed on that.”

Now, of course, there are a few questions. Including what Vémola will do in preparation for his next fight to make him dangerous and prevent a similar situation from happening to him. But Neruda is convinced that he is still the best fighter on our scene and that he can handle it.

After the loss, in addition to the result, Terminator had to deal with a lot of adversity from the fans. It didn’t help that he didn’t shake Kinclo’s hand, didn’t come to the press conference and nobody knew what was going on with him.

But according to Neruda, he’s handling this defeat better than how he took it in 2018 after the knockout loss to Attila Vegh, though he can’t say for sure. And what actually happened to Vemola after the fight?

“He still texted last night that he was in the hospital. For a while we wondered if he really went there because he wasn’t at the press conference. He supposedly got some kind of shock. He sent us a video from his hospital bed where he said he didn’t want to run away from the conference. He didn’t act like that even after he lost to Attila. Now he needs time,” Neruda concluded the topic.
