The Octagon 35 card is whole despite the weight problems
The highly anticipated Oktagon 35 tournament is here. Brno’s Winning Group Arena hosts another gala evening of the best of domestic MMA on Saturday night after the summer break.
Friday morning was traditionally marked by the official fighter weigh-ins, which saw a number of issues with the fighters’ weight limits. But the only fighter who really didn’t make his weight in the end was Canadian David Moon, who didn’t even make the extra time.
However, we won’t lose any matches just before the tournament and we can look forward to the full card. Especially the title defence of Patrik Kinclo, who faces the number two in the middleweight division, Frenchman Alex Lohore, in the “battle of Vémolé”.
In the evening, the public weigh-in was held at the Dominican Square in Brno, where the last staredowns between the fighters took place. On that occasion, the main players of this tournament were given the floor to lure the fans to the title fight.
Kincl and Lohore lure the fans to a great fight
“Make sure you come tomorrow because I will bring the highest level of violence,” promised Alex Lohoré. “I stand by the fact that I will finish him in the first round,” he said when asked by Ondrej Novotny if he still stands by his prediction.
“We’ll see, all I want Alex to do is to do his best,” said the champion Kincl. “He’s had a full camp, I need to test him properly,” he tried to impress his French challenger.
“I’m looking forward to his violence and I hope he unleashes the full force of his beast, ” he expects his opponent to be at his best. “Because my wolfdog is already tearing himself apart for tomorrow,” he told his fans.
