Bayern Munich are playing well this season under new coach Julian Nagelsmann and lead the Bundesliga after 11 rounds with a four-point lead over second-placed Dortmund.

But the goals scored statistic is particularly breathtaking, as the Bavarian team has already scored 40 goals, an average of almost 4 goals per game. Robert Lewandowski is of course the biggest contributor, with 13 goals, but Müller is also playing well, scoring 4 goals and assisting 8 more.

In total, the Bayern graduate has scored 220 goals and assisted 230 more. He has done all this in 599 games, and he only needs to play in 62 more games to become the club’s biggest icon in this statistic.

As far as goals are concerned, the legendary Gerd Müller dominates this statistic at Bayern, scoring 523 goals, with only Lewandowski ahead of Thomas with 317.

But where Müller is unrivalled is in assists, of which he has already collected 230. Only Franck Ribéry comes close to that number with 182 assists.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has collected the most yellow cards, 82 in total, in 500 games. However, he has never seen a direct red card and has only had to leave the field early twice after two yellow cards.

Jérôme Boateng, who is currently with Olympique Lyon, has 6 red cards in 363 games, one of which was also after two yellow cards.

The Ballon d’Or was then won by three players during his time at Bayern Munich – Gerd Müller (1970) Franz Beckenbauer (1972 and 1976) and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (1980 and 1981). In 2020, Robert Lewandowski would most likely have joined them had it not been for the coronavirus pandemic.

Only Renato Sanches (2016), who is now at Lille, has won the Golden Boy award at Bayern.
