More big problems for Chelsea! Key defender injured
Fans of the London club are not having the happiest of times under Graham Potter. They’ve only managed to win one of their last ten games. The situation is not helped by an injury to key defender Thiago Silva, who suffered a knee ligament injury in Sunday’s loss to city rival Tottenham and will be out until at least the start of April.

A crucial week for Graham Potter did not get off to the best start when he learned of the 38-year-old Brazilian stopper’s injury.
According to reports from England, it is the upcoming two games against Leeds and Dortmund that are expected to be crucial for the Chelsea coach to remain or possibly end his association with the English coach.
Although Silva is 38 years old, he is still one of the best the English league has to offer at the central defender position.
This is evidenced by the statistics from this season’s Premier League, in which Silva has the most passes into the final third of the pitch, the most interceptions and the most clearances out of the entire team.
The game crisis of The Blues is proved by the fact that the player with the most assists is the Brazilian stopper, who has 2 assists in total. This just goes to show how badly Chelsea are doing despite the big winter signings.
The only bright side of Silva’s injury may be more playing time for Fofana. He has also recently returned from injury but has only been coming off the bench at the expense of Badiashile and the aforementioned Silva.
So we’ll see if Fofana seizes his chance and convinces Potter or maybe another coach to make him the team’s main stopper.
