Mikulášek on falling down the stairs: I jumped from three meters, they found a slight concussion
Václav Mikulášek was supposed to have the main preliminary bout of the title fight between David Kozma and Bojan Veličkovič, but unfortunately he was seriously injured by a fall down the stairs and will not fight Tomas Meliš. What did he tell the fans about his fall?
Václav Mikulášek was supposed to have the main preliminary bout of the title fight between David Kozma and Bojan Veličkovič, but unfortunately he was seriously injured by a fall down the stairs and will not fight Tomas Meliš. What did he tell the fans about his fall?
The Oktagon 29 tournament missed an interesting fight, with Vaclav Mikulas injured, so the battle of the two former friends with Tomas Meliš will not take place.
Mikulášek was badly injured after falling on the stairs, but because of how strongly he spoke out against moving the tournament to Brno, many think he is faking the injury. What did he say?
“Well, the reality is, why would I cancel a match a few days before it when I was only missing the last few pounds? I was struggling with the injury at the camps,” Mikulášek said on his social media.
Mikulášek then added that he is paid to fight and his words about the fight in Brno are a coincidence considering what happened to him afterwards. So what exactly was it about?
“The dog woke me up around half past 3 in the morning, saying he wanted to go out. I get to the stairs and the dog starts running and suddenly jumps. But I’m 3 metres from the stairs because I live on the second floor. My reaction was that I jumped. I woke up at the bottom.
I had about five CTEs and then I had a head x-ray. I was diagnosed with a mild concussion. The leg that was broken, the bones had shifted. I can’t stand up on my leg and my head feels like I’ve been KO’d, so I’m taking a few months off,” he explained the situation.
So it’s a question of when we’ll see the dream fight between him and Melis. An opponent is currently being sought for him, but it is not certain that we will see him at the tournament in Brno on December 4.
