Václav Mikulášek is one of the most watched fighters in the Octagon despite his unflattering score. His fight with Karlos Vemola did a lot for him. But now Baba Yaga admits he regrets that fight.
It was December 2020, the OKTAGON 19 tournament was taking place, and the organization’s biggest star Karlos Vemola and the controversial Vaclav Mikulasek were facing each other in the main event. The duel had a clear favourite, given the experience and qualities everything played in Terminator’s favour.
However, Baba Yaga together with Oktagon managed to convince the fans that Mikulasek is not without a chance to win and even though it is really small, a miracle can happen. Thanks to the heated trashtalk and awesome promos, this was one of the most watched duels in the history of the organization.
However, the match turned out as expected. Vémola took Mikulasek down quickly and in two minutes the match was over. Now Baba Yaga admits that he regrets the match. He hasn’t won once since the loss to Vemola and is on a streak of four straight losses.
“Today, in hindsight, I regret going into that fight. It wasn’t worth what happened afterwards. I don’t need the attention. I act the way I act and that gets attention. I talk the way I talk, which also gets attention. But I’ll admit my mistakes. Everybody makes them. Anyone who says they don’t is lying,” he said on “Without Gloves.
But he doesn’t worry so much about the losing streak: “I don’t feel under pressure. Should I hang myself? I could have had three greens out of five fields. I lost it to myself with my arrogance, arrogance and stupidity, but unfortunately. There will be no more red boxes.”
Currently, Mikulášek is thinking about moving up in weight class, but he doesn’t think it will actually happen. He admitted that he doesn’t enjoy the drops, but that he will always get through it somehow in the end.
It should be noted that Baba Yaga also talked about the fact that he has started to lose the desire to wrestle at all. However, he has now started training even more and as he has indicated, he is not going to let another loss happen. He will fight on December 3 in Ostrava.
