Leo Brichta is one of the rising stars of Czech MMA. The 24-year-old fighter entertains his fans not only in the octagon, but also outside it. He currently fights under the Oktagon organization, but he is also thinking about the Russian RCC.
Leo Brichta was born in Prague in 1997 and has been involved in combat sports since the age of eight. He started with judo, but he didn’t enjoy it, so at the age of 13 he switched to stand-up disciplines.
He tried kickboxing or Muay Thai, but over time he switched to MMA, in which he has already won 8 and lost 3 times. He has been fighting professionally since the end of 2017.
His first fight in the Oktagon organization came in the summer of 2019, when he faced Aliston Aguair in the Oktagon 13 tournament, over whom he won on points.
He found only one humiliator in the Octagon, and that was Ronald Paradeiser, whom he fought later that year. He finished him on a submission.
Subsequently, he dealt with Daniel Hodor, Mateusz Makarowski, Mateusz Kohout and Kirill Medvedovsky.
However, he doesn’t win his fans only in the fight, but also with his performances, especially in the organization’s promotional videos.
His humor and expressions are a big draw that makes the fans enjoy watching the organization. Brichta has had his scrapes, though.
Especially the one from 2020, when he and Tadeáš Růžička got involved in a mass hooligan fight of football fans, which the management of the organisation really didn’t like.
But that is already forgotten and Brichta is approaching the title fight. But as he said recently, the title is no longer what’s pulling him forward.
“I’m so sick of the title that… I don’t know how to say it. Maybe to the point where I don’t even have any motivation to get it anymore. It’sdefinitely not the main thing for me to do this sport anymore,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.
His current goal is to move to the Russian RCC, from which he had already received an offer. As he said, fighting in this Russian organization is his dream.
