The biggest Polish organization KSW held its first tournament in the Czech Republic a week ago. However, it is not going to stay with one swallow and wants to return here. Even the names of the intended cities have already been dropped.
The Polish giant KSW is one of the biggest organizations in the world. It is a long-established brand on the market that has its own shine. It has already held several tournaments outside of Poland, but it only introduced itself to the Czech Republic this year.
Fans were able to go to the KSW tournament during the last weekend of February in Liberec, where apart from some of the stars of the Polish organization, Czech fighters such as Dominik Humburger and David Hošek were also presented.
The whole gala was more or less a success. Although there were some controversial moments, the atmosphere was also not the best. However, considering the fact that it was the first tournament, moreover in a city where such a big MMA gala has never been held before, it was not bad at all.
Even KSW’s sport director Wojslaw Risiewski admitted a certain level of dissatisfaction in an interview with Polish site InTheCage. Besides, he also added that this was definitely not the last KSW tournament that was held in our country.
The next tournament of the Polish brand could take place on our territory next year, but it is not at all certain that it will be held again in the Home Credit Arena in Liberec.
On the contrary, it was mentioned that the tournament could be held in Ostrava, more precisely in the Ostravar Arena, which has a capacity of over 12 thousand spectators. Moreover, Ostrava is close to Poland and Polish citizens often come to this city to support their athletes whenever they are there.
However, KSW is also thinking about visiting the Czech capital, Prague. There was no talk of the O2 Arena, rather one of the smaller halls is being considered.
