OKTAGON 26 offered a really packed main card at Štvanice. We learned the name of the new interim middleweight champion, experienced the triumphant return of Miloš Petrášek and also an amazing atmosphere.
The opening bout of the main card was a big attraction. The popular Miloš Petrášek returned to the fight after a long time. He has completely changed his approach to MMA and this was reflected not only in the result.
His entrance into the cage drew huge applause, and it was the same during and after the fight. Petrasek flew into the fight like wild water and didn’t allow his opponent anything. He forced him to tap out to a kimura in the first round, dominating the entire time.
A touching moment followed when Ondrej Novotny spoke to the crowd, highlighting several sports heroes and everyday heroes. In short, a great show!
But then came the best match of the evening, at least until that time, which was taken care of by Lucia Szabová and Cornelia Holm. Fierce shootouts, a constant effort to attack on both sides, but the Slovak wrestler had the upper hand. In short, a perfect battle, which Szabová dominated on points.
Matúš Juráček and Tato Primera also had a very interesting match. While the Spanish wrestler kept pushing, Juracek tried to backpedal and hit from the retreat. Both wrestlers were shaken up during the match, but both survived the crises and the match was decided by the scoring judges. They decided that Juracek won.
Juráček himself was aware of the evenness of the match and stated in the post-match interview that in his eyes this match ended in a draw.
An absolutely perfect tactical performance was then shown by Talita Bernardova, who despite the high odds managed to beat Lucie Pudilova on points. The Czech wrestler was unable to resist her opponent on the ground at all and clearly lost. The Brazilian has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which she showed in full display.
The last and the main match offered an incredible war, which probably may not have been attractive to all fans. Much of it took place on the canvas, with Samuel Kristofich and Marcin Naruszczka switching positions. However, the Pirate was more active in his strikes, which secured him a very close win on points.
Krištofič thus became the interim middleweight champion of the Octagon!
