Kozma’s statement: I was in survival mode from the beginning. I was already out of it after the first few hits I took
David Kozma fell for the first time in the Octagon, not enough for Kaiko Brito, who became the new welterweight champion. After the tournament, the Pink Panther took a few days off and has now given his statement to the fans.

The longer a fighter wins, the more likely it is that defeat will come in the next fight. For David Kozma, it came in the Octagon after more than four years.
Kaik Brito came into the fight well prepared and tormented Kozma from the first second in the cage. He resisted him for a long time and withstood the big shots, but finally referee Jan Vobornik stopped the fight.
Kozma was disappointed after the fight, although he seemed resigned to his defeat. Afterwards he took a few days off and now he came up with a statement.
David Kozma’s statement
“Hello and hello, I think it’s time to comment on Saturday’s game. I know it took me longer than usual this time, but I needed to sort my thoughts out and also to recover a bit. If the match was today, I would do everything differently (as I always do after a lost match).
I wouldn’t have gone straight into the shootout in the first round and would have been a little more careful with the start. I underestimated his punching power, which was really big. I figured I’d take a couple of shots and still do my thing. But I was out of it after the first punches I landed.
My attacks weren’t working and I was in survival mode from the start. With the whole arena cheering me on, I was afraid to make the fight a little more boring and just went for it right away.
I believe that we will get to the rematch and I will be able to show a better performance. Kaik was better on the day, he won rightfully and I congratulate him,” he informed fans on his Instagram.
Though he lost his championship belt, he need not mourn. He may not get another chance at the title anytime soon, but he will be taking part in the Revolution Pyramid.
