Kozma’s performance in Ostrava? Lohoré would probably beat him, but next term will be a different story, Kincl said
David Kozma was close to his second straight defeat. But in the end he managed to win a close match on points against Lukasz Siwiec and was able to rejoice in advancing to the quarterfinals of Tipsport Gamechanger. However, his friend Patrik Kincl was worried about falling for the second time in a row in Ostrava.
Lukasz Siwiec was his equal opponent and in the end the match came down to a points decision, after which the Ostrava patriot was the happier fighter.
However, Patrik Kincl admitted in a Q&A on his Instagram that he was worried that his friend would fall and not advance to the quarterfinals.
“I was worried about David on Saturday. A quick comeback after a tough battle with the Brit and I knew about his health problems. Add to that the pressure of a big favourite… A very close match from my point of view, which could have easily gone the other way.
I only saw it live in Ostrava, so I don’t have a bigger analysis. In Ostrava, Lohoré would probably have beaten David, but the next date will be a different story. Brito is history, David will finish off a nagging injury and there won’t be as much pressure on him.
Ideal combination for success. And if I had to go from the first round, Bojan Velickovic is the favourite for Gamechanger for me,” he said on his Instagram.
Kozma will be fighting Lohore, with whom he and Lohore are basically left for each other. No date has been announced yet, but it’s almost certain to happen on May 20 at the O2 Arena.
