Kozma revealed how he sees the Kincl vs. Vémola fight. Who does he want to open the Tipsport Gamechanger?
David Kozma lost his title in December, but his motivation for this year is taken care of. He will have a Tipsport Gamechanger to look forward to, which will also feature his friend Patrik Kincl, who will be challenged by Karlos Vémola in the title fight. What does the former welterweight king have to say about it?
The welterweight champion and Kozma’s December conqueror is missing from the pyramid. The reason? He’s still nursing an injured hand, plus he wants to keep the door open for a possible deal with the UFC, which is certainly not out of the question.
“I wanted to fight Kaiko. I wanted to beat him in Gamechanger and take his belt next year, but in the end he’s not in the pyramid. It’s a shame, but I respect that,” he didn’t hide his slight disappointment on his YouTube channel.
And who would he have wanted in the first round? “I’d like to face someone weaker to start. There were some bobbles during the preparation so I want someone to start, but I don’t have a specific name,” the former welterweight king added.
“Patrik is really good. The less good fighters there are in Gamechanger, the better chance it will be for me,” he is clear.
Kincl vs. Vémola
The Pink Panther was also upfront about how he sees the upcoming title fight for the middleweight belt. This will be the fight of a lifetime for Patrik Kincl, and a win will be extremely important for him. But Karlos Vemola will not be an easy opponent.
“Hopefully, the fight will finally happen and neither of us will get hurt. I see it 50-50. Both of them have moved on since the first match against each other, Patrik has gained a lot of muscle mass and strength, it will be hard to throw him, but he could also lose his fizz with it, he may not breathe for those five rounds,” says David Kozma.
However, he will be rooting for Kinclova, with whom he trains, among others. But would he bet on him to win? No way. And he can’t be too surprised.
