Kozma on Buchinger: It’s not your turn! You would have had three fights in the Octagon and all title fights. I don’t think it’s fair
Ivan Buchinger plans to win his third title in the Octagon organization. But to do that, he needs to get a welterweight fight with David Kozma and beat him. It was Kozma who has now responded to what Buchinger wrote about him on social media.
Ivan Buchinger plans to win his third title in the Octagon organization. But to do that, he needs to get a welterweight fight with David Kozma and beat him. It was Kozma who has now responded to what Buchinger wrote about him on social media.
“I read some statement from Buchinger where he wrote something about I feel the wolf coming and I’m quiet and scared or something like that. I’ve already commented on that. I’m going to go into the fight, but you’re just not next,” Kozma said on his Instagram.
He was reacting to the fact that his next opponent will be one of the pair Kaik Brito – Petr Knize, a pair that will face each other on Saturday at Oktagon 28.
In addition, Buchinger will have to defend his first title, which he won in January against Ronald Paradeiser.
“In the meantime, defend your divisions, don’t hold back, or get a fight at 77 with Apollo, for example, and prove you have what it takes to fight the big boys, and then we can talk about our fight. You’d have three fights in OKTAGON and three title fights right away. I don’t think it’s fair to the other fighters,” added Kozma.
So now Buchinger’s plans are clear. He has to defend at least his first title, but Octagon will definitely want to give him a chance to win a third belt.
That could, or rather should, happen as soon as a big hall is available. A fight like that would deserve it.
