Kincl’s challenge? It’s been on my mind for a long time! I don’t think Oktagon can come to the O2 Arena with anything bigger, said Vémola

Karlos Vémola expressly defeated Pavol Langer and is the rightful champion of the Oktagon MMA organization. After the fight he decided to challenge Patrik Kincl for a third fight and now he has explained why he made this decision and if he had this move planned.

On the turn of Saturday and Sunday, Karlos Vémola once again showed that he is a quality fighter to be reckoned with. Many did not believe him and Pavel Langer and stood with their mouths open afterwards.

In seven seconds it was done and Vémola decided to challenge Patrik Kincl for the third fight as he would like to take the middleweight belt back into his hands.

This despite his initial statement that he didn’t want to drop that much anymore. Fans wondered and speculated whether this plan was already in his head before the fight or if it was a spontaneous idea.

Vemola has now explained everything

“It’s been on my mind for a long time. Actually, when I met Ondra Novotny (promoter of Oktagon MMA, ed.), I asked him if he had someone big for me for December. No one came to me.

And I thought, I really have a few fights left and I just want to do big things. So I wanted the most that there could be. If you look at the top ten welterweights in the Octagon, who’s there? And if you look at the middleweight division, he’s there.

I don’t think Oktagon can come to the O2 Arena (the Oktagon 51 tournament will take place on December 29, ed.) with anything bigger than Vémola vs. Kincl. That’s the most,” he told CNN Prima News.

Kincl hasn’t commented on the challenge yet, but is expected to decline or make his rival wait a long time, just like he did to him. After all, he’s certainly not in a role where he has to do something.
