Kincl vs. Brito? It’s an offer you can’t say no to, the Czech fighter is clear. What does he say to Kozma’s words?

Patrik Kincl the welterweight king? Even such a scenario could be realistic this year. There is talk of a fight with Kaiko Brito, who is now the champion and not a Tipsport Gamechanger participant. That doesn’t sit well with David Kozma. What does Kincl say?

The Brazilian fighter could potentially be challenged by Patrik Kincl. The latter may now reign at middleweight, but a fight with Karlos Vemola could give him a taste of a title shot at another weight, and it was the welterweight division that was his own until recently.

Kincl has even tipped the Brit on social media, where they exchanged a few words. Apparently, neither fighter would be averse to measuring each other’s strength.

“I communicated with Ondra (Novotny) about the offer and it’s something I couldn’t say no to. Plus, with David (Kozma) being a hot contender for the finals and to win the Gamechanger, so he’ll be out for at least a year,” Kincl was overheard saying at the press conference.

According to Robert Rampa of iDNES, David Kozma, until recently the sovereign and dominant welterweight champion, is not happy about this duel. Reportedly, he would consider it a betrayal on Kincl’s part. In fact, it would mean the potential possibility of them facing each other, something that was unacceptable for both of them until recently.

“I wouldn’t consider it a betrayal. If David wanted to go into the fight, it’s purely his decision. My decision was that if he had the belt, there was no reason for me to go into the welter. I preferred to be in the gym with him in training where we gave each other feedback. Those steps will be up to him,” Kincl is clear.

However, the middleweight champion also adds that a lot of things can happen in a year. For example, the fact that he beats the Brit and subsequently the title could just become vacant for Kozma.

And what does the promoter Ondrej Novotny have to say? “Kaik is still a little bit indecisive. He responds to challenges not only from Patrik, so we’ll see how it goes. It’ s definitely nothing that we necessarily have to spike,” the head of the organization restrained his emotions.
