It’s here! The big day of the Czech MMA scene is here. On Saturday night Patrik Kincl and Karlos Vémola will fight for the middleweight title. However, earlier in the week, the former publicly admitted to an injury. Now he has spoken out about how he is doing and revealed why he did so.
OKTAGON 43 starts this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The main event of the evening will be provided by champions Patrik Kincl and Karlos Vémola. The most anticipated fight in recent years was supposed to take place in December, but due to an injury to the Terminator, it was postponed.
Many feared that the fight would not take place even on May 20. The concern was even greater when Kincl revealed in the week before the fight that he had an injured hand. Specifically, he developed inflammation in his wrist and also couldn’t put on antibiotics because of the crashing.
So he had to choose another way to get his hand back together. In the latest vlog on his YouTube channel, he revealed that he dealt with the situation with anti-inflammatory ointments and pills, which did not affect his kneeling.
And how is the hand now? “It seems to be 99.9 percent,” Kincl let slip. The video in which he mentions the information was filmed on Thursday. Let’s hope it’s 100 percent now.
“The only reason I mentioned the injury in my last vlog was because it had gotten to my opponent’s camp before anyway. So I confirmed that the information is being reported both ways. I also got information from his preparations,” the Inspector explains why he didn’t hide the injury.
“We are a small republic. A few people want to be interesting, so they immediately run snitching. But on Wednesday morning, a few days before the game, the hand really surprised me,” Kincl added.
The middleweight champion noted, among other things, that before the fight he had probably the easiest knockdown, during which everything sat perfectly. He looked like that not only at the official weigh-in, but also at the public weigh-in.
