Kincl on Novotny: I don’t find some of his statements completely fair. Ondra’s behavior unfortunately annoys me, to put it very politely
Patrik Kincl is enjoying a well-deserved ovation after his win over Karlos, but he is still going to interviews, so it can’t be said that he is resting. This time he talked about why he regrets some statements made by promoter Ondrej Novotny.
Patrik Kincl is enjoying a well-deserved ovation after his win over Karlos, but he is still going to interviews, so it can’t be said that he is resting. This time he talked about why he regrets some statements made by promoter Ondrej Novotny.
It’s been more than a week since the famous Oktagon 43 tournament, in which Patrik Kincl managed to beat Karlos Vemola on points and is still the organization’s middleweight champion.
Since the victory, there has been a lot of media interest in the Inspector. The experienced fighter has been giving interview after interview and this time the question was asked if he reads anything about himself.
“I have to admit that after the fight I completely distanced myself from it. And it’s almost always like that. I only saw a few headlines in the media. I’m a little bit sorry about some of the statements made by the promoter Ondrej Novotny, which I don’t think are fair to me.
But that’s the way he seems to communicate. I can understand that I’ve made a little bit of a line through the budget and that this match arouses public discussion, but definitely not from my side,” he said in an interview with Deník.
Kincl was reacting to Novotný’s statements during and especially after the game, when he insinuated that he did not understand the 5:0 result and that basically no one he spoke to saw it that clearly either.
He said he could imagine Kinceloe winning, but for example 3::2. In contrast, Pavol Neruda talked about how matches are now scored and that more emphasis is put on damage, which basically ended the debate about possible referee error.
“Pavol Neruda wrote me a wonderful message after the match and sincerely congratulated me on the victory. That’s how it should be in sport and in society in general. But the behaviour of Ondra unfortunately annoys me, to put it very politely…” added Kincl.
As both have mentioned in the past, they are not the same blood type, but they can work together on a professional level to make each side happy.
