OKTAGON 43 will be a spectacular event. We will see several big fights. In the main event, champions Patrik Kincl and Karlos Vémola will face each other in an anticipated rematch.
The two fighters have already fought five years ago. Back then, Terminator won on points, however, the match was affected by the oft-mentioned eyepoke. The rematch should have happened before, but there was always something against it. Now there’s nothing standing in the way.
And how does Kincl feel about the first match and the rematch? “Different worlds. Both in terms of training and mentally. I learned a lot from the first match. Not only now for the rematch, but also for the other matches,” the Inspector replied to fans’ questions on Instagram.
“Mentally, it’s very hard for me to bite a loss, but training-wise and for progression in general, unfortunately, it’s the best thing. That is, if it gives you the drive to really work on those mistakes,” Kincl admits.
Currently, the upcoming match with Vémolá is very much on his mind. A month before the fight, he says he is obsessed with it and sees it as a priority in his life. And since it is a personal rematch, the obsession is even greater.
But beyond that, Kincl also talked about how much longer he wants to fight. He didn’t outline any specific plan, but as long as his health holds and as long as he keeps up with the “young wild boars”, he said he would like to fight.
“I’ve given up all my hobbies because of my family. In the future I would like to change the setup in my training. Right now I have it as an extreme, where there are not many things more important. I believe that if I cut back a little bit, it won’t swing the performance any extra, but again, it’s a substantially good personal life. And if it goes to hell with the performance, it will be time to think about the next steps,” Kincl concluded the topic.
