Karlos Vémola is back after a long break and hasn’t faltered yet. Now he has his biggest challenge ahead of him, he will face Aleksandar Ilic for the welterweight title. Of course, it wouldn’t be Vémola if he wasn’t limited by some injuries.
The end of his career was near, Karlos Vémola is simply not the youngest anymore and the last injury was really serious. But now he’s back, beating Marko in boxing and then Michal Pasternak in MMA.
He wants to complete the hat trick at the Štvanici, but it wouldn’t be Vémola if he wasn’t limited by some new injuries. This time it’s his knee.
“Mr. Kolar took a look at it and we found out that it’s nothing serious. It’s a bump, a swelling that was tearing in my knee. He took the water out of it and put soothing things on it,” Vémola said in an interview after Sport.
But afterwards he reassured his fans. “It won’t affect my game in a month’s time. It’s a small setback on my path. There are a lot of small injuries like this in preparation. We will manage everything, everything is going according to plan so far,” he added.
Now the famous Czech fighter is preparing in Poland, where he will have hard sparring and training. His fight is less than a month away.
The tournament in Štvanica, called Oktagon 34, takes place on July 23, with only the more expensive tickets on sale near the cage.
