Kaik Brito quits the Octagon? Brazilian gave fans a hint, his future is to be in another organization
Kaik Brito was supposed to be part of Tipsport Gamechanger and one of its favourites. However, he eventually decided to withdraw from the project and Octagon promised to see him defend his title. However, that hasn’t happened yet and according to the latest information, it doesn’t even seem like it will happen.
However, not all is as it seems at first glance and Brito ultimately decided not to be in the project. The reason was an injured hand, which was revealed to the public by promoter Ondřej Novotný.
“Kaiko’s manager and trainer wanted him to be in Gamechanger badly, but he decided that he was still healing his hand from the fight with Kozma and left his hand untied. He’ll be defending his title later in the year,” Novotny let slip on his MMA Flight Through the World podcast.
That was probably one reason, but certainly not the main one. That’s because Brito would not be able to leave the organization during the project, and he currently has one exit clause in his contract, which he apparently exercised.
“I have great news, we’ll be releasing more details soon for the fans,” he responded when asked by MMA Shorties. Of course, what is it all about? There was speculation of an Octagon title fight, but things are likely to be different.
When asked by a fan if we can look forward to another fight in the Octagon, he replied that not now. So it looks like a transfer and quite possibly already to the UFC, where he could either get a contract straight away or have a chance to fight as part of the Contender.
Other organizations are also on the table, but it would be quite surprising if he would prefer them to staying in the Octagon, where he has excellent conditions. But we’ll have to wait a while for certainty or details.
