Second match in two weeks, second win. Christian Jungwirth once again proved that he is a fighter with all his heart. On Slovakian soil he defeated Robert Pukac, in Ostrava he defeated Mateusz Strzelczyk for a change.
At OKTAGON 32, the German, who won over the Czechoslovak audience with his performance and his speech, even earned a bonus for the performance of the evening. He will also use the extra money to please his family.
But Jungwirth did not have it easy. He had to face several submission attempts in the match. As he himself admitted, two armbar attempts in particular were really critical, yet he was able to get out of them.
“You can break everything for me. Legs, arms, hands. But you’ll never see me knock a fight away. You can’t train it, you just have to have it in you. I’m just a wrestler and I love my job,” said the likable German at the press conference.
As already mentioned, Jungwirth won over the fans with his attractive performances, which didn’t always translate into victories. At the press conference on Friday, going into Saturday’s game and after the victory, he received a lot of support. He appreciates it very much.
But it’s not just that the fans like the German. It’s also that he’s taken a liking to the Octagon. “It’s the number one organization for me in Europe. It’s great that they’re entering the German market. The Oktagon Challenge goes hand in hand with that. It ‘s going to be great,” Jungwirth is clear.
