Another defense, another tough opponent, another win. David Kozma is not going to give his title to anyone. He knocked out Bojan Velickovic in the fourth round. How did he evaluate the fight at the press conference?
Another defense, another tough opponent, another win. David Kozma is not going to give his title to anyone. He knocked out Bojan Velickovic in the fourth round. How did he evaluate the fight at the press conference?
David Kozma confirmed on Saturday night that he is the undisputed king not only of the welterweight division, but of the entire Octagon, since no one else in his weight class was the champion. What’s more, no one has even beaten him in it.
Apollo failed to do it in the first half of the year, but he made a significant mark on the face of the champion, and now Bojan Velickovic hasn’t managed to do it either.
“It was a tough fight, he highkicked me in the third round, which I felt a lot, but the battle with Apollo was the hardest. After the fight with him I looked like I did, I was grunting at the press conference at the time, I couldn’t even talk. But even the fight with Bojan was tough,” says the champion.
Velickovic’s main weapon in his first fights in the Octagon was his great kicks. Kozma had to watch out for those, but he still took a few.
“His kicks were not a problem in the fight. I felt them only now when I went to the press conference. I didn’t notice it in the match,” he let himself be heard.
For his performance, the champion received a performance of the night bonus. He said he will save the money.
And his next plans? He will take December off, but in January he plans to start preparing for April, when the tournament in Ostrava is scheduled to take place.
