I’m not surprised. Novotny sometimes takes some things for granted, says Vémola about Peshta’s dispute with Octagon
The Oktagon 31 tournament will offer a really packed starting line-up, which will include two title fights. One of them is the rematch between Viktor Peshta and Stephan Pütz. But the problem is that Pest doesn’t like the fact that the organization announced the fight before the contract was finalized.
The Oktagon 31 tournament will offer a really packed starting line-up, which will include two title fights. One of them is the rematch between Viktor Peshta and Stephan Pütz. But the problem is that Pest doesn’t like the fact that the organization announced the fight before the contract was finalized. What does Karlos Vémola think about this?
After the announcement that he will have a rematch with Stephan Pütz in February, Viktor Pesta wrote on his Instagram that he knows nothing about it. But in the subsequent live broadcast, he described the situation better.
According to him, he did negotiate with the organization about the rematch, but the problem was that he didn’t have a contract yet and therefore didn’t take anything as a done deal.
Unlike Oktagon and Ondrej Novotny, who was disappointed by Peshta’s statement and, in his words, did everything as he should have. What does Karlos Vémola think about it?
“I don’t know, I’m not surprised. Ondra sometimes takes some things for granted. Like, for example, I’ll start in the blue corner, which I won’t,” Vémola said on his Instagram live stream with a smile.
“I don’t think it will be a difficult fight for Pest because he already beat him in the first fight. He’s got a feel for him and he knows what to expect. I think he will beat him in the second one. The fact that they didn’t tell him is one thing. But I can’t quite believe that Octagon didn’t talk to him about it, that they didn’t let him know at all,” added Vémola.
Now we wait to see how the whole situation will unfold. But the most likely option is that Oktagon will give Pest a new contract and the fight will happen in February.
