He made his huge disappointment publicly known. Patrik Kincl was looking forward to ending the feud and wanted to defend his title against Karlos Vémol. However, he was injured and the match was cancelled.

Kincl eventually chose Vemola and we won’t see him in Gamechanger. The reason is simple, this rivalry needs to end once and for all in the cage.

The fight is scheduled for the Oktagon 43 tournament in Prague’s O2 Arena, but there is a real risk that it won’t happen, after all Vémol’s health is not very reliable.

“If Karel escapes again, I have no more motivation to give him another chance. Even the diehard fans will see that he is a purely inflated bubble who only talks in front of the cameras and is unable to prove his words with actions,” Kincl said in an interview with Sport.

If this fight takes place and Kincl actually manages to win, he will finally break out of the constant merry-go-round during which he did everything for the rematch with Vemola.

His career will then finally be able to develop in a different direction. And maybe there will be a return to welterweight, where he could try to win a title.

“I definitely want to get at least three fights this year. I noticed that Brito dropped out of Gamechanger, so that would be a chance to go to welterweight and make a title shot there as well,” he added.
