If I wanted titles, I’d stay in the RFA. If I want money, I go to KSW, said Miroslav Brož. So why did he choose the Octagon?

The Octagon organization announced one big return on Thursday afternoon! Miroslav Brož is coming to its stable after a short anabasis in RFA. Why did he decide not to listen to the lure of KSW and the non-aligned offer from RFA?
When the new RFA organization came on the scene, there were several transfers. The first to leave the Octagon was Leo Brichta, but shortly after that David Hosek and Miroslav Broz were also persuaded.
He left the Octagon because the competition was offering a bigger financial reward, but earlier this year he decided to listen to the temptation and came back to the place where he enjoyed five victories.
“I got a good offer from the RFA where I would go straight into a title fight if I signed the contract. Then I got a very good offer from KSW saying I was going to fight in Liberec.
Of course, there was also an offer from OKTAGON, where I talked to Ondra Novotny about the fact that I should go in KSW in Liberec, to which Ondra responded in the sense that if we sign a contract, he would let me start in Liberec. I really appreciated that, but I miscalculated a bit. I didn’t expect that KSW would absolutely not agree to something like that.
KSW was giving me a really incredible offer. I didn’t expect them to give me a contract like that myself. The contract was good, but it was for 5 or 6 fights. If I wanted to compete in Liberec, I would have to sign this contract. Itwas a really brutal offer,” he told MMA Shorties.
His heart, however, was pulling him back to where he goes to tournaments to almost sell out arenas. So the reason for the move is definitely not money, as he would have made more money especially in KSW.
“Like I said, if I wanted the titles, I’d stay in the RFA. If I want money, I’m going to KSW immediately. Of course, there’s also a huge prestige there. A lot of people were just wondering that I made that decision because KSW is a huge traditional organization, but I’m just Czech.
I wrestle here. I’m 34 years old. I have maybe 2-3 of my best years ahead of me and I want to make good, tough fights. I don’t want to go out. I want to stay here and make good fights,“ explained Brož.
In all likelihood, Patrik Kincl will leave it, so the only Czech would be David Kozma, which is not to the liking of Oktagon. There are more options, but it is an interesting speculation.
