I won’t fight Kozma, but I can clear the way for him, says Kincl. What are his plans in the Octagon?

After his loss to Robert Soldic, it was considered that Patrik Kincl could see a rematch. Not many people have tested him as much as the Czech fighter. But now it is clear that it will not happen.
Kincl confirmed again on his Fight & Talk podcast that he has a long-term exclusive contract with the Octagon, where he will fight Pirate for the middleweight title in February.
“I think there will be enough fights. There are enough fighters in the Octagon, they want to build it up. Plus, as the RFA comes into play, the Octagon will want to bet on quality, experienced fighters. You can see the trend there already and people like it,” expressed the former KSW title challenger.
Among other things, the East Bohemian Patriot is glad to see the fan base’s opinions changing. While it used to be the case that the public cheered more or less only for domestic fighters, now they are increasingly liking foreign fighters as well.
In the Octagon you can see more and more often fights between good Czechoslovak fighters and good foreign fighters. This trend is set by David Kozma according to Kinc.
And a potential fight between Kinc and Kozma was one of the topics of the podcast. While Kincl will be fighting for the welterweight belt, he’s certainly not going to abandon the welterweight division. He’s not going to challenge the Pink Panther, however.
“Kozmich and I meet in training and I’m at a stage where I don’t need to chase my ego and prove something. The only thing I want to prove is a rematch with Vemola. But David and I are friends and I don’t need to fight him. I‘ll be a gatekeeper in front of him and I’ll clean his lane,” Kincl revealed.
The only way the new star of the Octagon would lose the welterweight title is if Kozma had to lose it. “But that’s a future that hasn’t even been painted yet,” he added.
