I train with the best, I try to match them, says Vémola about boxing training
Karlos Vémola is recovering from his injury, he still can’t train fully, but that doesn’t mean he is lying on the couch at home. The Terminator is training for his boxing match with Marpo in May, and he’s been putting in the work with the boxers who are giving him a good workout.
Karlos Vémola is recovering from his injury, he still can’t train fully, but that doesn’t mean he is lying on the couch at home. The Terminator has been training for his boxing match with Marpo in May, and he’s been getting ready with the boxers giving it their best shot.
The end of May should see the boxing debut of Karlos Vemola. His fight with Marpo has been postponed for the second time due to injury, but this time all indications are that nothing should change.
While still not 100 percent, Vemola is certainly not resting and is preparing for his first knockout with the boxers, as he said at the press conference.
In an interview with iSport, what did he say about his preparation, which is certainly more demanding for him than when he has an MMA fight?
“I train only with the best, in boxing gyms with pros who enjoy it. I’m an MMA fighter who can get stoned, get beat up. I remember we had that when a kickboxer came to our gym. The more famous he got, the more we wanted to throw him on the ground and beat him up.
It’s a natural rivalry between sports. So now the guys are having a good time and I have to bite down and try to match them. And then there are guys in the gym that I can’t match, no matter what I do. I’m training with Vasil Ducar, for example. You cannever match him, you have to shut up and take the punches, well,” he said.
How is his health at the moment? According to him, the doctor has advised him not to train at full strength for six weeks yet, so the sharp sparring will come in March.
