How did this nasty injury happen? I got my arm caught in a takedown and my partner fell on it, Peñaz said
The majority of Oktagon fans were looking forward to the fight between Matej Peňáze and Vlast Čep, which was supposed to bring the resolution of one rivalry. Unfortunately, it won’t happen this time either, the reason being Money’s nasty injury.
The majority of Oktagon fans were looking forward to the fight between Matej Peňáze and Vlast Čep, which was supposed to bring the resolution of one rivalry. Unfortunately, it won’t happen this time either, the reason being Money’s nasty injury.
Matej Peňáz is back in the Octagon after losing his match in Contender, where he is still undefeated. Here the fight with Vlast Cepe was long awaited and finally the final decision was made.
The rivals will meet in April at the tournament in Bratislava! But in the end it had to come down to it. Fans got one negative news on Wednesday.
The Czech wrestler was badly injured in training when he seriously broke his arm, as evidenced by a post by the organization on social media.
“It happened on Monday, during my traditional sparring in wrestling. I got my arm caught in a takedown and my partner fell on it. I got on top of her and my elbow turned to the other side,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
“Honestly, probably the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. At that moment I was still full of adrenaline, but the sound alone sounded very unpleasant. When I saw the hand, it was immediately clear to me that this was bad. Fortunately, I got a dose of morphine and it was quite good,” he added.
Recovery time is now in the stars. He has to wait for an MRI, which will only happen when the swelling has gone down.
Only then will it be determined what needs to be operated on and how long we will not see him in the cage. Hopefully, however, this Money has finally exhausted his injury luck and we will see him again in the near future.
