Martin Fenin has accepted the offer of the Oktagon organization and he will fight one MMA fight there. Now he has to train hard, he has until the summer of next year. What did his new coach Josef Kral say about him?
MMA continues to grow in popularity and so does Oktagon, which showed twice in Germany in 2022 and has even bigger plans for the following year, 2023.
He has a tournament in Munich in February, then in the summer at the Frankfurt football stadium, where he will pack in a huge number of fans. A former footballer will also help to possibly sell out the stadium.
This can be none other than Martin Fenin, who is loved in Frankfurt. He has quite a lot of time, but he has to train hard in order to give his best performance.
“He’s not exactly a talent, but he’s not terrible, he’s quite good, he’ll get better with time. It will depend on how he picks it up in training now. I’ll tell him what to do, but then he has to do it on his own, but it’s still going to be two of us. I don’t think it’s going to be a big deal.
We’ll see how he handles it when the grenades come and someone is massaging him underneath on the ground. He’s pretty good with the intervals, you can see that he can bite maybe, you could see that, but it’s going to be different on the mat. In sparring he will get tougher, it will hurt there, he will have to overcome that,” said his new MMA coach Josef Král in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
He then added that he was approached by the organization itself. At first he was against it, especially because of other organizations where people come to fight with almost no training. But then he accepted when he learned how much time Fenin would have to prepare.
