He fought Vemola for the fight, now he’s retiring! Spicely made his decision after a quick defeat to Polívka

Thirty-four year old Eric Spicely ends his MMA career! He decided to do so after his fight with Zdenek Polivka, which ended it in the first round. The fight lasted one minute and 20 seconds.

Eric Spicely, a thirty-four year old American MMA fighter, ended his storied career with a record of 12: 8.

Spicely had consecutive losses prior to joining the Octagon 2 organization, but was given a shot at a title fight with Karlos Vemola.

His opponent was Marcin Naruszczka, who stopped him after two rounds. So Spicely wanted to reverse his streak of three straight defeats and got a Czech opponent.

At the Oktagon 28 tournament he faced Zdeněk Polívka and scored a defeat after only eighty seconds!

Probably under the weight of this defeat and unpleasant series he decided to put his gloves in the middle of the octagon, which means only one thing.

Spicely is calling it a career, he confirmed it in his post fight interview. But there’s still a chance he’ll change his mind after a while. But we won’t see him in the Czech Republic for a long time.
