Goal from a turn and across the field? No problem, Rutta sealed the victory for the Sharks with a successful shot

The Canadian-American NHL brought only two games on Tuesday night, and fans didn’t see any goals in either of them. However, in the San Jose vs. Seattle game, Jan Rutta contributed one goal to the Sharks’ win, sealing the score at 2-0.

The famous overseas competition offered only two games last night. St. Louis and Columbus played, while San Jose welcomed the Seattle Kraken. It must be added, both games ended in a truly football result, the fans did not see any goal throws.

Rutta sealed the victory for the Sharks

San Jose defeated Seattle 2: 0 on their ice, and the fans had to wait until the third period for a goal. However, the visitors had the upper hand in the opening period.

Seattle sent 13 shots at goalie Mackenzie Blackwood, but none of them ended up in the net. The home team had only three shots on goal in the first period, so Seattle’s Joey Daccord didn’t sweat too much.

The middle part of the game was a bit more balanced, with both teams registering five shot attempts. However, the game between San Jose and Seattle was really poor, at least by NHL standards.

It wasn’t until the third period that finally brought a bigger hockey show. The shots on goal count for each team stopped at 14, but the home team was more successful. Marc-Edouard Vlasic opened the scoring at 47:27, giving the Sharks a 1-0 lead.

In the end, the Kraken called for a goalieless game, but even the advantage of a sixth man on the ice didn’t help. Twenty-one seconds before the final buzzer, Jan Rutta scored into the open net. The Czech defenceman scored from behind his own net, from across the field.

Rutta has played 44 games for the Californians this season and is now on the scoresheet for the third time. He also added nine assists to his three goals, giving him 12 points.

Sharks on the tail of the NHL, Columbus only needed one goal to win

St. Louis hosted Columbus at the Enterprise Center, and the fans were treated to only one goal in this game. The decisive goal was scored by Russian defenseman Dmitri Voronkov, who scored his 12th goal of the season.

The Sharks have won four of their last five games, but are still in 15th place in the Western Conference with 32 points. Seattle is currently tenth with 52 points, just two points shy of the playoffs.

St. Louis currently holds the eighth and final position with 54 points in 49 games. Columbus is second to last in the Eastern Conference with 42 points. Only 16th-place Ottawa is worse with 40 points.
